Terms and Conditions
By ORDERING Items for shipment to ThePostalStore UK Parcel Centre the Customer agrees to these terms and conditions.
From 15th October 2025, ThePostalStore UK parcel service requires an online registration to be completed to use our UK Parcel service either at
www.thepostalstore.ie/uk or www.ukparcels.ie – orders placed by existing customers before that date are not affected.
By completing our registration on our website you agree that any fees relating to customs and VAT duties to the relevant jurisdiction must be paid before the parcel is released. Periodically ThePostalStore employees or an authorized representative of HMRC or Irish Revenue are allowed to open any boxes to determine that they comply with all state rules and our rules as set out in our terms and conditions. Irish customs can without agreement detain any parcels they deem to be brought into the jurisdiction unlawfully. ThePostalStore and its access point agents will work with authorities at all times to ensure the service is used for the correct purpose.
ThePostalStore and its servants and agents are firstly not to be liable at all for certain losses and damage, and secondly, wherever they are to be liable, the amount of liability is strictly limited to 50euro maximum pay out. It is terms of this agreement that your home Address is a valid home address where you currently are a resident must be entered and correct and input correctly on our registration form. The Customer consents to the sending by ThePostalStore of the Customer’spersonal data to the UK where the legal protections applying to such data in the European Union do not apply.
The Customer is responsible for complying with all applicable export and import control laws and regulations of the UK in the order and receipt of items. ThePostalStore is authorized by the Customer to complete and file customs documentation (including electronically) in respect of the Item on behalf of the Customer and as its direct representative using information provided with or relating to the Item and/or provided by the Customer. The Customer shall provide ThePostalStore with any information it requires to complete customs documentation.
Any queries as to the amount or assessment of any Customs Charges must be raised directly with Revenue. The customer accepts that where customs fees are due an additional 15euro administration fee is incurred and is payable before the parcel is released.
ThePostalStore reserves the right to restrict or discontinue any Service at its absolute discretion.
ThePostalStore UK parcel service is only available for personal customers. Any business looking to avail of this service must in the first instance make representation to ThePostalStore by emailing info@ukparcels.ie
The customer who completes our registration through our website understands that No Hazardous Products Examples of such goods include batteries, toner cartridges, adhesives, aerosols, alcoholic beverages, tobacco or tobacco products, guns of any kind, gas cylinders, flammable goods, paint, infectious substances or drugs (including prescription drugs/medicine), dangerous goods or any other hazardous materials of any kind can be sent to our UK parcel Centre.
The customer acknowledges that any illegal items such as Drugs, Medicines, Weapons cannot be shipped to our UK parcel Centre and by submitting this form you understand that should any illegal packages arrive at our UK parcel Centre we will forward them to the relevant authority and /or destroy them and provide the customer details to that authority.
Our access points (locations) will receive all parcels under 20kgs and 1.5m in birth for collection at the customers agreed location pick up point.
ThePostalStore customer will pay for this service through the access points till system when they collect their parcels. Each parcel collected is €3 per parcel if collected from one of our access point locations. Any parcel over 20kgs and/or over 1.5 metre in girth will be shipped directly to
the customers home address from our UK parcel centre and will incur all relevant charges for that to happen. Payment will be made directly to our UK Parcel centre.
Failure to collect parcels within 5 days from the date of collection at any access point (Location) will be returned to our UK parcel centre and should the customer need that parcel, the parcel will be sent direct to customers home address and all relevant charges for that to happen will incur. After three months ThePostalStore at its absolute discretion can destroy and/or auction any parcel that hasn’t been collected. All funds from the Auction will be received and accepted by ThePostalStore in its entirety. Under no circumstances can a customer collect parcels in Strabane and our service isn’t time sensitive.
All access point locations will be serviced Monday, Tuesday and Thursday each week
All correspondence to the movement of customers parcels once received by the
UK Parcel centre will be by email and no communication will be made by SMS or phone.
All parcels need to be signed for at the access point (Location)
